The Loricraft brand has been around a long time, but until recently their machines were sporadically available in the United States, and they went through a few ownerships. Now, Loricraft is one of the brands under the SME ownership umbrella. SME is known for their precision machining and build quality in their tonearms and turntables. They now bring that level of quality to the Loricraft record cleaning machines.
The Loricraft models, PRC4i and PRC6i, have been redesigned and now feature parts manufactured in the SME factory. The arm wand and main bearing have both been improved in build quality and functionality. The vacuum pumps have been improved and are now even quieter and more durable than before.
The PRC4i vacuum pump, as well as the drive motor, are only exceeded by the PRC6i in quietness among all vacuum record cleaning machines on the market today. They are quiet enough for at least casual listening while cleaning records.
