Vibrapods have stood the test of time as a very affordable tool in isolating hi-fi components from unwanted vibrations and resonances.
The brainchildren of Sam Kennard, himself an expert in the science of plastics, Vibrapod isolators and cones have been on the market now for decades. During that time they have received numerous industry awards for their effectiveness and high value. The products simply work, and their cost is so low compared to other products on the market that it immediately catches the attention of people who are browsing hi-fi isolation products.
Vibrapod isolators and cones are made from a very specific formulation, identified by Mr. Kennard, that falls into the vinyl category. Please Note: VIBRAPOD Isolators may leave rings on woods, acrylics, and painted surfaces. They may also dissolve the paint, especially if it is lacquer. To protect these surfaces it is suggested by The Vibrapod Company to use something such as a bar coaster, playing card, and simple piece of cardstock paper between the Vibrapod isolator or cone and these surfaces.
Vibrapod Isolators can be used in a number of ways. They can replace the existing feet on hi-fi components or they can be used as an isolator between the existing feet and the shelf. They can be used to isolate loudspeakers from their stands. They can also be used with either side up.
Vibrapods of varying load range ratings can be used for components whose weight distribution is not even in the various parts of the component.
Vibrapod Isolators are sold in sets of four. Their dimensions are 9/16 inch tall by 2-7/16 inches in diameter.

Vibrapod Cones offer an alternative to Vibrapod Isolators in instances where the use of a combination of materials offers a better and more complete solution. They are composed of the same special vinyl compound as the Vibrapod Isolator, but in a sold cone shape with a stationary steel ball at the tip. This ball can also be replaced by the user with a ball of the same size (7/16 inch in diameter) made of titanium or ceramic for fine tuning of their isolation properties.
Vibrapod Cones are priced each. Their dimensions are 1.1 inches tall by 1-5/8 inches in diameter. They can be used with Vibrapod Isolators in applications where the ball of the Vibrapod Cone is upward toward the component and the Vibrapod Isolator is between the opposite end of the Vibrapod Cone and the shelf.
